This Privacy Policy explains what information SQLAI.ai (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and services, why we collect it, and what choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at support@sqlai.ai or via our contact form.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up (with an email magic link or a third-party sign-in provider such as Google), we collect your email address and, where provided, your name and profile picture.

Content you submit. This includes the prompts you write, the AI-generated queries and responses, and any database schema information (table and column names and types) you add as a data source. We only store schema information — we never access or store the data in your database. It also includes things you create or share, such as saved queries, templates, rules, ratings, and feedback.

Usage and technical data. We collect information about how you use the Service, such as the features you use, the number of queries consumed, and your interactions. We also log technical data like IP address, browser type, device, operating system, pages visited, and error reports.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider Stripe (and Lemon Squeezy for older subscriptions). They collect and process your payment details; we only receive confirmation and subscription metadata, such as plan, status, and renewal dates. We never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, maintain, and secure the Service — for example, to sign you in, generate queries, and keep your history;
  • improve and develop the Service — for example, to analyze usage and interactions, fix errors, and build better features;
  • send essential account and service emails, such as sign-in links and subscription notices. We do not send marketing emails unless you have opted in;
  • comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

Where required by law, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests (such as improving the Service), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent.

3. AI model providers

To generate queries and responses, your prompts and schema information are sent to third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic), who process this data to operate their models. These providers handle data under their own policies, which you can review on their websites.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. With your consent — which you can give or withdraw via our cookie banner — we also use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and to measure our campaigns. These services may set their own cookies. You can manage your choice at any time from the banner.

5. How we share information

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as AI model providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, and email services;
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We never sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep your data to provide and improve the Service. If you’d like us to delete your data — for example after deleting your account — just email support@sqlai.ai and we’ll take care of it. Records we must keep for legal or tax reasons (such as invoices) are retained as long as required by law.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption of stored database connection strings, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@sqlai.ai. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. International data transfers

We are based in the European Union. Some of our providers process data in the United States and other countries, with appropriate safeguards in place.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email.
