Terms of Service

Welcome to SQLAI.ai. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SQLAI.ai website, applications, and services (the “Service”), including our AI-powered SQL and NoSQL generators, helper tools, data sources, saved queries, and public API. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SQLAI.ai helps you generate, explain, optimize, fix, and format SQL and NoSQL queries with the help of AI. The Service is a tool to assist you and is not a substitute for your own review.

AI output. Queries and suggestions are produced by machine-learning models. They may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for your data. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any generated output before using it, and for the consequences of running it against your systems. When you add a data source, we only store the database schema you provide — never the data in your database.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for providing accurate account information. Please contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Subscriptions and billing

The Service offers a free tier as well as paid subscriptions. Current plans, prices, and included query allowances are described on our pricing page and may change from time to time.

  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). By purchasing a subscription you also agree to their terms. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Renewals. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
  • Free trial. Every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. During the trial you are not charged and can cancel at any time without cost.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time on your subscriptions page. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds. After the free trial has ended, we do not offer refunds.
  • Price changes. We will notify you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your existing subscription.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the prompts, schemas, and other content you submit to the Service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, and process your content — including the output generated from it — to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. This covers, for example, keeping your history, generating your queries, fixing errors, and developing new features. You also agree that we may use feedback and suggestions you provide without restriction or compensation.

You are responsible for the content you submit, including ensuring that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • submit content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, or that promotes illegal activity;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
  • scrape, crawl, or mirror the Service, or reverse engineer its software, except as permitted by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties other than through features we offer (such as the public API and teams).

We may enforce these Terms by removing content or suspending accounts at our discretion.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, such as AI model providers and payment processors. Their availability, terms, and policies may affect the Service, and they may process your content as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from ours.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by SQLAI.ai and is licensed — not sold — to you. You may not copy or use our branding without prior permission. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use the queries and content you generate with the Service for any lawful purpose, including in your own projects.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be correct or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SQLAI.ai and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account and data via the contact form. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Denmark.
